Description

This product is useful for conducting electrolysis experiments to detect / produce hydrogen and oxygen from a liquid.

Along with the lid for electrolytic tubing 4530.05 (not included), the hydrogen produced can be drained for use in a fuel cell.

For collecting oxygen and hydrogen, the supplied mini test tubes are used. Since the electrolysis vessel is made of acrylic with embedded platinum electrodes at the bottom, a diluted sulfuric acid can be used in a 1M solution as electrolyte.

The largest voltage applied to the electrolysis is 5V and it is connected via safety sockets.
