Teach Australian woodland & forest ecosystems with our paper model!

Woodlands and forests are found around the edge of Australia. Our model shows many of the unique species that live in these habitats, their adaptations, their interactions and how they depend upon one another for survival.

Buy once, print forever!

First, your students make their model using the colourful parts. Then, they use it to look at how organisms are adapted to survive in woodlands and forests. Next, they learn about ecosystems, habitats, consumers and producers, food chains, food webs and energy pyramids for this ecosystem. The impact of invasive species is also considered.

Plants & animals modelled include: echidna, koala, sugar glider, dingo, carpet python,  eastern grey kangaroo, western grey kangaroo, spotted tailed quoll, rainbow lorikeet, ghost bat, red river gum, red ironbark, grass tree and more!

Takes between 30-60 minutes depending on the number of students making the model.
