Description

A useful rotary potentiometer that can dissipate 100W of power. 

The unit has 3 connections and can be used as a rheostat (variable resistance) or a potentiometer (a voltage divider).

The body behind the front panel is ceramic and at full dissipation of 100W it is hot to touch. Some teacher supervision is advised.

The front panel has a rotary knob and 3x 4mm socket terminals that connect to each end of the resistance with the third one connecting to the wiper. Everything is exposed to teach the students the function.
