Description

The Thermionic Tube - Diode is a diode tube (or sometimes called an electron valve or electron tube) that rectifies. A heater inside the tube warms the cathode so electrons can emanate. The AC voltage is applied between the Anode (Plate) and the Cathode, but electrons can flow only one direction, therefore the AC is rectified into 'half wave' DC. This diode has 2x Anodes, so the circuit can be configured so that both halves of the AC sine wave can be rectified to produce 'full wave' rectification. 4mm spin free IEC terminals are provided for all connections.
